The cost of your commissioned portrait is primarily determined by the size of the canvas, with the flexibility to choose a larger canvas to fit your vision. You can include any number of subjects (people or pets), and larger canvases allow for more detail and greater visual impact.

How It Works: The Commission Process

1. Initial Consultation
   We’ll discuss your vision for the portrait, including the subjects, canvas size, and any specific details or elements you want included. If you have specific requests or meaningful items to add, now’s the time to share them!

2. Reference Photos
   High-resolution photos of the subjects will help me capture every detail. If you’re in Maui, we can arrange an in-person photo session to ensure the best possible reference for your painting.

3. Deposit and Confirmation
   A 50% deposit is required to secure your commission, with the balance due upon completion. This step reserves your spot in my schedule and confirms the painting timeline.

4. Sketch Approval
   I’ll create a preliminary sketch of the composition for your approval before starting the final painting. You’ll have the opportunity to provide feedback and suggest any adjustments.

5. Creation Time
   Depending on the complexity and size, the painting typically takes 4-6 weeks to complete. I’ll keep you updated throughout the process.

6. Final Approval and Delivery
   Once the painting is completed, I’ll send you images for final approval. Upon your satisfaction, the finished portrait will be packaged with care and delivered to you, or it will be available for pickup.
